I'm working with an older PC that wasn't starting properly. Using a comparable used motherboard helped it boot up. The system occasionally reaches the splash screen, though it often shuts down very quickly—around 0.1 seconds. I've experimented with multiple GPUs and power supplies (five PSUs total, four at 300-350W, one at 450W which didn't work). I've also tried various RAM modules, with some getting the splash screen while others didn't. The hardware specs include a Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 board, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600 CPU, Asus EN6600/TD/128M/DDR3 RAM, and a Kingston KVR667D2N5 GPU. The PC uses an Arctic 64 RAM stick, a FSP ATX-300 power cooler, and I haven't seen the splash screen in the video. Let me know if you need more details.

Remove the motherboard from the case and place a cardboard box on top. Attach only the CPU, RAM, graphics card, CPU power, and 20/24 pin power connections. Skip fans, USB ports, hard drives, power switches, etc. Jump the power header with a paperclip or screwdriver. If the problem continues, components are likely well identified. Ensure you have fresh thermal paste and remove any stickers from the CPU cooler base.

I can't physically check the board outside the case. Could you describe what you're seeing or let me know more details?

Hi, everyone. Thanks for the help. I have already fixed this issue as I found out the new motherboard was broken in shipping or it just died on me. Turns out the old motherboard was just fine but the old CPU was dead. After putting the new CPU in the old motherboard and getting a GTX 745 later, it works! Thanks y'all and God bless you! Stephen

Also, one more point. My board (GA-MA78GM-S2H v1.1) lacks TPM pins—it has solder "blobs" but not the actual pins. Is this a regional difference? Thanks! Stephen
