Hi, your recent GPU upgrade from an HD 5770 to a HD 7770 with double the memory seems to have resolved most problems. However, you're now experiencing constant full disk usage from the system drive, which wasn't an issue before. You've turned off Windows Search and Superfetch, but the problem persists. Have others encountered similar issues on Windows 10 64-bit? Any suggestions could be really helpful!

Your Task Manager shows a moderate disk usage with a few files taking up space. Here’s a snapshot for reference.

I have a 2.5" seagate 500gb drive. in the course of posting this the system now seems to have settled down but i am going to see if it is a re-occurring issue when i reboot i have never seen an issue with this at all until i upgraded and ive been using win 10 for over a year now my disk usage seems to be settling around 3-15% now

I experienced a 100% disk usage issue on my laptop. I believe it might be linked to Windows Defragmenting if you don’t allow it time to clean the HDD. After running Defrag, the performance improved. I think the problem could stem from Windows automatically defragmenting or optimizing the drive without notice. This happened only with my HDD boot drive; the SSD on the desktop didn’t face similar issues.
