System reboot is occurring while running games at high or ultra settings.
Guys, I just bought a RX 7600 yesterday. I installed it, everything was fine, and so. What happens is everytime I put games on High/Ultra, e.g. Doom Eternal, the game works for a few minutes and then the PC restarts by itself. My setup is as follows: MONITOR: LG 29WK600-W UltraWide FHD (Resolution 2560x1080) PSU: PCYES ELECTRO V2 Bronze 650w - ELECV2PTO650W MOBO: A520M-DS3H CPU: Ryzen 5600G GPU: RX 7600 RAM: 2X8GB DDR4 3600MHz - BL8G36C16U4B SSD M.2 NVMe: WDS500G2B0C AMD Adrenalin config.: I tried running Superposition Benchmark with the following preset and after a few minutes the PC restarts too. Performing a Stress Test on AMD Adrenalin the PC did not restart and here are the results: Performing a CPU, FPU, System Memory and GPU Stress-Test using AIDA64, lasting approximately 2 minutes, the PC did not restart and AMD Adrenalin marked the following: Doing a Stress Test with FurMark the result was this, and the PC did not restart: Looking at the Windows Event Log at reboot times, I selected the strangest looking ones from the list. Additional info: - I've been running this pc with just the 5600g for aprox. 2 years and this never happened before. - My BIOS is updated - I have already unnistaled AMDRyzenMasterDriver - I've already tried unistalling drivers using DDU and installing them again. I've thought about some possible causes and I'd please like some help to rule each one out until I find the problem. 1) Problem with the GPU itself 2) Problem with the power supply that cannot deliver proper wattage 3) Motherboard problem as it is an entry-level model with PCIe 3.0 only 4) AMD driver is bugged in this version 5) Something in the BIOS is incorrectly configured 6) Something on AMD Adrenalin is incorrectly configured Is there any other Bench or anything else I can do to try to diagnose exactly the problem?
It seems the power supply might not be strong enough for running demanding games, or there could be an issue with your GPU or CPU cooling. Try launching the game with a monitoring overlay displaying GPU and CPU temperatures to check for overheating. It’s possible the PC restarts because of heat. I noticed you ran a stress test on the CPU, but it only lasted a couple of minutes. Consider using a longer test—like 10 minutes—to accurately measure temperatures and see if thermal throttling affects usage. Also, keep an eye on AMD driver issues, as they’re reported to be a frequent problem.
