System powers up yet fails to complete startup, no error messages displayed.
I swapped the standard chassis fans for five new ID-COOLING XF-120-K models. The system spins fast—CPU cooler, GPU fans, and all chassis fans at full speed—but the monitor shows a connection while the mouse and keyboard stay unresponsive. While taking out the old fans, I had to cut their wires because MOLEX connectors didn’t fit through the ports. I also used a power drill since the new fans lacked screw threads. They were all connected in a chain and plugged into CHA_FAN 1. I’ve tried resetting CMOS, booting with one RAM stick in every slot, and unplugging the fans. No other parts are available for testing. Just replaced the CPU cooler last week without problems. Did I cause an issue?
