Recently, my computer has begun powering down when under stress. It doesn’t display a blue screen; it simply cuts off along with all my devices. No other components lose power, and the machine isn’t connected to a surge protector. I’ve verified the temperatures are within normal ranges (about 40°C idle, 70-75°C under load). I’ve also switched to a different power supply and it didn’t resolve the issue. Specifications include: motherboard MSI B450 GAMING PLUS, CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600, GPU XFX AMD Radeon RX5700, 16GB DDR4 RAM from Corsair Vengance LPX dual channel, PSU Thermaltake 700W, SSD Sandisk 1TB SATA, case NZXT H510.

After reviewing Event Viewer, the only relevant message reads: "The previous system shutdown at 9:23:11 PM on ‎9/‎1/‎2023 was unexpected." This doesn’t provide much clarity. Visiting the time mentioned shows no logs, with the last entry at 9:17 being just random info. The logs after shutdown appear to be standard boot messages. Regarding Hwinfo64, the temperatures seem normal—VRM around 36°C, CPU ~40°C, GPU ~45-50°C. I don’t think overheating is the problem, since I’ve cleaned the PC thoroughly, reapplied thermal paste, and confirmed fans are working. This makes me suspect a firmware or BIOS issue might be involved, perhaps related to boot settings or C-states. I’ve tried adjusting several BIOS parameters that reported crashes, but it didn’t help.

I completed the stress test as instructed. The temperatures rose significantly—CPU hit 95-100°C while the GPU remained around 80°C. This is unusual and likely points to an overheating concern. For cooling, consider improving airflow, checking fans, or upgrading components if needed.
