System powering up and then shutting down.
Hey everyone! I just assembled a PC and when I tried to power it up, it started working for a bit, then shut off after 30 seconds and kept restarting. Now it’s constantly turning on and off. The GPU seems fine, the CPU cooler is good, all fans are running properly, but the keyboard, mouse, and monitor aren’t getting power. What might be causing this issue?
Could you share your system details and the power supply's wattage?
I own an RTX 2060 high-end, Ryzen 5 3600 processor, and my power supply has a capacity of 650 watts.
Inspect every cable carefully. Make sure you didn’t link a fan header with an RGB strip or similar. It looks like a short is occurring on your motherboard or activating one of the PSU safeguards. Verify there are no faulty contacts in the rear I/O section, and check for metal objects inside the USB ports.
It sounds like you're trying to set up your RGB lighting for your M.2 system. Connecting the RGB cable directly to an LED address is generally fine as long as the hardware supports it and you're using compatible drivers. Just make sure the settings match your device's capabilities. If you're unsure, checking the manufacturer's guidelines can help confirm what's correct.
