You upgraded to a new GPU and thought you could handle the performance issues yourself. You overlooked the low-cost 400W PSU, which was fine at first but now seems problematic. Running 3DMark confirmed the bottleneck, and your system unexpectedly shut down. Upon inspection, you found a 400W 80+ bronze PSU powering the GPU, raising concerns about compatibility. There are warning lights on both GPU BIOS connections, and you don’t have warranty coverage.

The 400W rating is significantly under the recommended level for a 3070. The brand and model of the power supply unit are unclear; if it's a Dell PC, chances are low. For a standard PC, you can easily replace it with a more powerful unit such as a 650W.

Disconnect the power cord, wait a few minutes, then reconnect. This reset the overcurrent protection. Stay until the PSU restarts. Insert the old GPU until you're ready to swap the PSU.

Attempted it, but it didn’t work. It seems like the PSU was destroyed, though the GPU still shows no power and the motherboard and GPU aren’t responding.

It might be more than just the PSU. Make sure it didn’t damage anything else. If you don’t feel happy about a new PSU, bring it to a store for testing the parts.

It might influence nearby components or the PSU if issues are present; testing parts first is recommended.

I installed a new motherboard and RAM, but the GPU isn’t showing any power issues or alerts. For a while, I switched to integrated graphics, but after a few restarts and power-ups, the system stopped responding completely. The CPU and power supply are functioning properly, though the RAM seems uncertain. I’ve reinserted it several times and it gets hot when everything is connected. I’m not sure where to get help since I don’t know any nearby shops.
