System power-off following intense gaming session.
Hello! You're experiencing an unexpected shutdown after gaming at maximum settings. The issue seems linked to your power supply unit, possibly due to age since it's eight years old. It started after you replaced the PSU with a newer model. Your system is running fine otherwise, and the problem appears only during gaming. What are your thoughts?
Did you run a tool such as DDU to remove the Nvidia drivers before setting up the Intel card? Leaving those drivers in could cause conflicts. This power supply should work fine for the card, though if it's very old it might not be reliable. Trying another PSU is probably safe.
I used DDU before making the change. It functions properly unless I run it on maximum for a while, like an hour. That’s when I noticed problems. I’m considering PSU might be the issue, but I personally believe the EVGA unit has been very reliable—lasting eight years and handling high power even at full speed. Just think it’s reaching its limit with heavy loads.
