Hello. Your computer becomes extremely sluggish while playing games and benchmarks also confirm this. You're running a Ryzen 5 5700G, RTX 3070, 16GB RAM, an M.2 Gen 4 SSD, a 850-watt power supply, and an ASRock B550M motherboard. The Cinebench R24 scores indicate your CPU/GPU performance is lagging compared to other sites. PBO is enabled in BIOS but doesn’t provide much improvement. Multi-core tests are painfully slow, and the GPU lags about 4% per core versus its benchmark. Despite overclocking, thermal readings seem normal, yet gaming performance drops drastically—often to just 150-200 FPS instead of the expected 400-500. Someone could help me understand what’s going on.
Are you measuring your results against devices equipped with a 5700X or 5800X? The 5700G aligns more closely with a 3700X since it contains half the cache of those models. Also, does your RAM support XMP (DOCP) profiles? Are you using the newest motherboard BIOS? Have you installed the latest AMD chipset drivers? Is your GPU running the most recent firmware?
You can't simply enable PBO for the 5000 series and anticipate proper performance. Adjustments and fine-tuning are required.
I own a 240AIO for my CPU and my GPU only has the built-in cooler. It's mounted vertically, though I've noticed it only raises temperatures slightly.
