System overheating detected, causing automatic shutdown.
Hello, my Ryzen 7 3700X has been running for over a year now. Recently, it began overheating unexpectedly. In mid-December, I changed the cooling setup from Wraith Prism to an MSI triple Fan AIO and increased RAM from 2x8 to 4x8 GB. At that time, everything seemed normal. About two months later, my PC started shutting down randomly. After some investigation, I realized the overheating was coming from the CPU. Current CPU usage is very low, but temperatures reached 93°C. I later replaced both the CPU and cooler for another reason, yet temperatures stayed high. The hottest area in HWMonitor is Package Node 0. I’m considering two options: try the Wraith Prism again or test my system under stress using Linux on Ubuntu dual boot. My three main possibilities are: the CPU might be faulty, the AIO’s water block isn’t level, or there could be power delivery problems with the motherboard (which has been an issue since day one, mostly affecting audio but possibly more). I’ve attached two screenshots of my CPU status from HWMonitor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I’d consider getting a wraith cooler; it seems like an AIO issue.
