This situation has occurred before, but now I’m using my desktop and suddenly the monitors lose signal. My PC keeps running, yet I still hear audio during video playback once the screens go dark—both monitors stopped at the same time. I’ve tried reconnecting cables, unplugging and replugging the main monitor, but it doesn’t fix the issue. I’m concerned it might be related to the GPU. I also experience occasional static on my monitors, though I was told it’s a monitor problem when I bought it. Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you considered replacing the power supply unit? It could be faulty.

I don’t have an extra PSU that’s strong enough to keep my system running right now. The only spare I have is a 450W unit, which isn’t powerful enough for my usual workload. I’ve been using a lot of power at times, but not much more than what my PC normally handles. The static I see mostly appears in menus and looks random, especially when the GPU isn’t under heavy load.

I'd begin by exchanging the display cables. If that doesn't fix the issue, switch out the power supply and see if that resolves it. If neither works, replace the power supply again.

I've tested two distinct display cables and they didn't affect the static on the screen. I don't think this problem is common enough to need a new PSU. Appreciate your help!

It occurred once more today, but this time following a system restart, the second monitor still fails to receive a signal. Perhaps the AMD update caused driver issues, which affected performance. After updating the drivers, the second monitor is now functioning correctly.
