2 GHz dual-core chip with 4 GiB of RAM (system memory) and 25 GB of hard drive space (or USB stick, card, or external drive—see LiveCD for other options). Supports VGA at 1024x768 resolution. Installation media can be a CD/DVD drive or USB port. Internet access is useful (help.ubuntu.com). The standard desktop ISO is 2 GB, so you’ll probably need more than that.

The file size for the installer is approximately 2gb, so consider using a flash drive with at least 3gb. Your storage drive should have about 25gb or more to install the OS and operate it properly.
