I encountered a messed-up partition layout with dual booting. I need to merge my SSD and move System Reserved to the left side for a single unallocated area. The idea is to make it look like 100 MB. Also, should System Reserved be around 100 MB instead of a larger size?

Another third-party tool works well. EasyUS Partition Manager is a good option. I don't recall if it had a free trial available.

What's going on? You seem confused about what I'm asking.

It shouldn't cause any issues? I recall using GParted on UBuntu, but it messed up my installation.

Shift SR to the left for better access when expanding the Windows 10 partition. This method doesn't work with SR in its current form.

Yes, you can create a duplicate and then remove the original.

It's okay to start over with a new installation and then modify the partition size as needed. You can adjust your partition there. However, Ease US is recommended. You might want to give it a try. Other third-party partition tools are also available. http://www.easeus.com/partition-manager/personal.html
