System keeps failing repeatedly without clear explanation.
Essentially a new PC I just assembled keeps failing to start and I don’t have any clear way to figure out why. I double-checked all connections, RAM placement, and everything else. So naturally I thought it was probably a software problem. But I can’t even access the event viewer because the machine crashes almost instantly after booting. Here are some steps I tried: 1) CMOS reset 2) Look for and fix corrupted files 3) Reset RAM XMP settings None of these helped. Now I’m forced to wipe the SSD and reinstall Windows. But I can’t just replace the OS because BitLocker is active. And I can’t turn it off without opening Windows. How can I disable BitLocker during or before setup without going through Windows?
Check the motherboard manual or BIOS settings for the version details. For the RAM, look up the brand and model number in your system specifications or manufacturer documentation.
Try launching Linux on a bootable USB and observe any issues. Check if the system freezes during BIOS setup.
It runs smoothly whether I access the BIOS or use a bootable USB drive. I haven’t attempted a Linux environment yet, and I’m unsure about the next steps.
I verified all connectors and am confident everything is in place. Perhaps I'm just being too optimistic, but I don’t think the RM750X would face any problems. It’s possible, though I haven’t tested it thoroughly yet. My instinct leans toward the memory being the cause.
You were correct. The faulty SSD was the cause of the problems. Replacing it with a new one resolved the issue. Appreciate the help!
