Hello once more, I've been quite occupied lately. Even managing a sick family member in January 2017 didn't help me out with Windows 10 Professional 64 Bit. It was an upgrade from Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, which I chose and signed up for. When the free upgrade came around, things went wrong—my system ran perfectly fine but the internet kept glitching while I used it. I still have to boot into Windows 7 via F8 every time, which is really frustrating.

I've been trying to install the upgrade on a 64GB SanDisk USB drive, but I ran into issues with the installation process. The system reported an error saying there was no partition on the hard drive. I'm worried about losing everything if I try to create a new partition. Could I use the thumb drive as a temporary partition so I can boot from it? I don’t want to reinstall everything, especially games and other files, because I’m planning to build a new computer soon.

I also considered getting the retail or OEM version and installing it via USB instead of buying a DVD, which would save money on SSDs. But I'm not sure if that's a good idea since I'm starting from scratch. Also, I made a few mistakes with my posts—every time I try to update, I end up rewriting the same thread. I’m really worried about losing my progress and want to avoid editing this again.

Please help me out with advice. Thanks for your understanding!

Save all files from downloading a Windows 10 ISO on the Microsoft site. Use Rufus to create an 8GB+ USB drive and boot from it. Format the drive properly, then install Windows while keeping your Microsoft account key in place.

Hey, I see you're feeling a bit confused. You're looking for Windows 10 Professional 64-bit and want to know where to download it. It sounds like you're new to this process—great! You can usually get it from Microsoft’s official website or trusted software stores. If you're using a USB drive, you might be able to install it there before booting up. Just follow the instructions carefully, and don’t hesitate to ask if anything looks unclear. You’re not alone in this!

Visit the Microsoft website. Utilize Rufus to generate a bootable USB. Include the Windows 10 ISO. Remember to transfer your Windows key to your Microsoft account.
