Hi,
After setting up a new PSU, CPU, and motherboard, my computer failed to boot and displayed the orange DRAM light. I took it to a local repair specialist. He spent a few days evaluating the situation and suggested replacing the existing 3600mhz Corsair vengeance RGB RAM with a different speed model, specifically the 3200mhz variant. He advised installing another 8GB of 3200mhz RAM to restore the original 32GB configuration.

Later, I attempted to install the 24GB RAM alongside the existing 8GB. It only worked when there was exactly one 8GB stick installed; with more than one, it wouldn’t boot at all. Even with just the 8GB, it didn’t start properly. If you install more than eight sticks of RAM, the orange DRAM light appears and nothing boots. However, it does work with a single stick of the original 3600mhz Corsair vengeance RGB.

The motherboard is MSI PRO B760-P WIFI DDR4, equipped with an I5 13400F processor, RTX 3060 ti graphics, and 32GB of RAM—either in 3600mhz or 3200mhz variants. The PSU used is Corsair RM750x, paired with Windows 11 Pro, an Intel stock cooler, a 500GB SSD, a 1TB SSD, and a 1TB HDD.

Windows made several updates initially when you first booted it. To update the BIOS, follow the appropriate steps.

Check the BIOS settings to turn off XMP. Set the RAM to operate at 2133mhz. Attempt booting with a configuration of 2x16GB or 2x8GB RAM. It seems unclear what your actual RAM setup is. Ensure the RAM modules are positioned in the correct slots for dual-channel performance (slots A2, B2 - second and fourth from the CPU).

Tried this but had no success, especially with 16gb 2x8 in the right slots. The system flashed red, then orange-red, then stayed red and doesn’t boot. After rebooting, I performed many updates on the one RAM stick, but I’m unsure if that would count as a fresh installation.

Turn off the PC, disconnect it from the wall, and take out the coin battery from the motherboard. Put one pair of matching RAM modules into slots a2-b2, reinstall the battery, and reconnect power. Try to boot.

And no, this isn't a fresh setup. We'll cross that bridge later.

I completed what you instructed to do. Upon startup, it displayed a red CPU flash followed by three orange messages, and it has since become stuck showing only the orange messages.

Does the same apply to the other RAM kit?
