Everything is fully functional, I've tested Memtest86 for four hours across four passes and found no issues. However, my PC occasionally crashes with a black screen and a kernel power 41 error. Some of the BSOD codes I've encountered are IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE_SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. These all point to the ntoskrnl.exe module, but Prime95 isn't stable—it produces errors within the first minute or triggers a complete BSOD. I've updated my BIOS from F11 to the latest F20b (Beta Bios), yet the same problems persist. My assumption is it's related to the power supply, CPU, or motherboard, though the RAM remains uncertain. UPDATE: Just wanted to note this situation. I've filed an RMA for the 3700x and received confirmation it's now running smoothly with XMP enabled—something that didn't work on my previous CPU. It seems the issue might be with the CPU itself.

The details are listed on my profile, temperatures are normal, CPU isn’t reaching 70°C and the chipset is at 72°C. The specs include 3700x|x570 Elite|2x8GB Patriot Viper 3600mhz CL17 and EVGA P2 1000w. Updating BIOS might reset CMOS, so I’ll go ahead and try it despite thinking the update would be similar.

Yes technically, but for safety, adjust the SOC to 1.1 and DRAM to 1.35, then test at 3200MHz to see if instabilities disappear.

The RAM operates at the standard 2133MHz when XMP isn't enabled. The BIOS remains fully stocked, with no overclocking applied. Even after shutting down, the system doesn’t show any overclocking activity.

I checked the kernel version 41 and it might point to a faulty driver, though that's very unlikely. Try reinstalling ddu and make sure the CMOS is cleared.

Attempted adjustments on stock configurations, keeping LLC levels medium across VCore and SOC instead of auto. Stability achieved with minimal FFTs over 20 minutes; frequency appears slightly lower due to reduced boosting. Some BSODs occurred under light loads with open Chrome tabs, prompting concern about RAM performance. Testing suggests voltage response matters—delayed reactions could trigger crashes during workload changes. Curious about BIOS tweaks, submitted an RMA to AMD for the issue. If accepted, I might wait weeks before using the PC again. Stock BIOS settings previously worked well; Prime95 testing during sleep will help assess endurance.

It's perfectly fine if you don't need to reset your CMOS.

I just checked in on this. The 3700x has been working smoothly with XMP for more than a week, even though it didn’t work on my older CPU. It was clearly a failing processor at first.
