I’ve noticed FPS fluctuations in Valorant. The game usually runs between 140-150 FPS, but it often drops to 90-100, leading to stutters that disrupt my play. The official site suggests needing an i3-4150 and a GTX 1050ti for stable 144+ FPS. My machine uses a Ryzen 7 2700, PowerColor RX 580 (8GB), and 16GB of 2666MHz RAM overclocked to 3000 CL16. A fellow player on r/valorant shared his experience with the same specs achieving 250 FPS, so I suspected an issue. I tried boosting my RAM overclock, but drops still occur. During a deathmatch, I observed temperatures stayed around 55-60°C, yet my GPU usage spiked from 2% to 99% in seconds, even without intense activity, while the CPU remained steady near 20%. What might be affecting performance?

Here are a few concise ways to phrase that:

- The post is brief and to the point.
- Are you sure you trust everything online? Let's stay on topic.
- Do you have another GPU available for testing, perhaps from a friend?
- It seems like the issue isn't a bad GPU, but we should check it out.

They often claim steady 150+ FPS across different setups, but I haven’t found a fresh benchmark. Since I don’t have extra GPUs, we could run our own tests to verify the numbers.

Execute the test to evaluate its performance relative to similar setups.

The GPU activity matches what you'd expect from an AMD GPU shifting around. For your FPS, consider checking background processes, game configurations, and scenes. You might also try DDU and reinstalling your graphics drivers to see if that improves performance.
