I addressed the issue by applying a constant voltage and frequency to the CPU. It's unclear whether PBO settings or prior configurations were responsible for the reboots. A tool on my MOBILE CALENDAR called EZ-tuning adjusted the CPU frequency to 4.0GHz with auto-voltage. The trade-off is reduced overall performance.
