I would experience disconnections randomly over the internet. I replaced my router twice recently and am using Linksys WR 3200 ASM with Unbiquiti AC Pro for the AP. The ISP has changed their modem three times, but everything seems fine during testing. However, when they are present and testing, everything works properly. It’s not just the Wi-Fi that drops; the whole network shuts down simultaneously. They claim it’s due to my router and AP, but how could that happen? Since I remain disconnected even when hardwired to the ISP modem, I’m running out of solutions. I’ve also spoken with the ISP, who say my router switches to bridge mode automatically when I connect my own device. The router’s uptime was set at 1440 minutes, but I changed it to 100,000 minutes. I’ve reset all my devices multiple times, but nothing seems to fix the problem.

Running commands in the background to check connectivity to various services. Each command tests a specific endpoint and interprets the results accordingly.

It might not be the modem or anything connected to you. Based on what I've seen, random outages suggest the data lines are entering from outside—perhaps a cable was pulled or disturbed, or something was dug up affecting the connection. I’d investigate if feasible.

I'll give it a shot once I'm back home later. Most of the ISP cabling is above ground, and a new cable was installed between my house and the main line. Last time I checked, everything seemed fine.

Only the first three disconnections were observed during the ping test.

No Ethernet connection is active; I'm using wireless for testing.

I was connected via Wi-Fi, but I need to try Ethernet tonight because it might have been more reliable.

I believe the problem is with my router, as it shut down three times last Sunday. I purchased an Ubiquiti EdgeRouterX and hope it’s fixed. @Donut417 – it’s a cable, but I’m considering switching to that GB fiber.

The internet might be experiencing problems due to weak signals. Modem records could provide further details, yet the service provider’s team should have verified the connection quality at your residence before it failed.
