I own an older machine (AMD Athlon X3) that previously functioned perfectly but now fails to boot from both the Windows 10 drive and the USB installation tool. In BIOS, both devices appear, yet only a blinking cursor appears when selected. I’ve used another computer with the same hard drive and encountered identical issues—Windows reinstalled successfully there, but I can’t reinstall on this one since it won’t boot from the USB either. I attempted to reset CMOS and reinstall the latest BIOS, but nothing worked.

I haven't made any changes to the boot sequence. The USB device should include a working Windows installer with a boot sector.

I checked the boot sequence and even attempted to change it. Yes, the Windows installer is brand new and working properly.

I also linked the HDD to my laptop using a SATA-to-USB adapter, and it started up smoothly.
