I upgraded my old 8600k to a 5700x3d with a Gigabyte B550i Aorus Pro Ax rev 1.3 after a suspected faulty motherboard that caused BSODs with video TDR failure and occasional rear IO issues. Now I can't load Windows without freezing during boot when the Aorus logo appears. It only gives enough time to access BIOS. I've reset everything, updated and rolled back BIOS, reinstalled Windows in safe mode, and booted from USB, installing it again. After that, I logged in briefly before it crashed. I also tried using an old hard drive with Windows 10, which gave similar problems. Using just one RAM stick and a spare PSU didn't help. I'm not sure if the disk is faulty since it works fine when booting from another drive, and both CPU and motherboard seem new. Do you think the issue is with hardware or software? It might be a simple software problem. I'm certain everything is properly connected, as I've double-checked many times with my experienced brother who helped set this up. Thanks for your assistance!
The BSOD suggests the GPU might be the issue. Even if you didn’t perform a fresh Windows installation on the new motherboard, I’d recommend trying that first.
