Beginning in October '23, my gaming PC freezes at the Windows login when linked to a 4K TV through HDMI. It becomes unresponsive not just with peripherals but during smooth animations, pausing for about a minute before resuming. Occasionally it freezes again, usually while browsing or watching videos, but rarely during gameplay—though the screen may briefly go black for a few seconds while audio plays and input remains functional. A recent test showed the issue persists even when changing display settings like resolution; applying changes still causes a minute freeze. I've tried different components: a friend's GTX 1070 helped significantly, and I recorded comparisons (linked files below). The new card still freezes under similar conditions. I replaced thermal paste, adjusted fans, and updated drivers and BIOS. All components ran normally during stress tests. Ran MemTest86 without errors, swapped RAM sticks, and updated Nvidia drivers. Installed a fresh Windows installation on the C: drive. Videos are available for reference.
