Since yesterday, I've experienced this problem where, after roughly 15 minutes of gameplay and Discord open with Brave running, my PC freezes, turns black, and displays a 0d error along with a yellow DRAM indicator. Initially, it occurred while emulating a game via Xenia and watching a YouTube video, then it became blue-screened without any prior screen issues. After switching off the PSU, I've only encountered this issue during Destiny 2 playback. I've tried updating BIOS, reinstalling Windows, swapping DRAM slots, but the problem continues. I'm unsure what's causing it or how to resolve it. Anyone have suggestions or a solution? Would it be better to replace the hardware? Thanks, Specs : ASUS ROG Crosshair Hero VIII wifi (BIOS ver 4201) G.skill Trident Z neo 32GB 3600 CL16-19-19-39 Ryzen 7 5800x RTX 3080 FE EVGA G3 1000w PSU noctua cooling Windows 11, latest updates from late 2020/early 2021. UPDATE: I still don't know the root cause, but it doesn’t seem to be a hardware fault—similar issues appear on my laptop (MSI Raider GE76, i7 12700H, RTX 3080, 16GB RAM). Could it be an electrical problem? Thanks, Edited August 24, 2022 by SorrybecauseIaddedupdate

Verified your RAM's specific SKU against Asus' QVL for that board. Found out the hard way after struggling with frequent POST failures every 8-12 cold boots. The Ballistix RAM wasn't listed for your setup. Switched to a Patriot Viper 4 Blackout kit with matching timings and voltage, and the problems disappeared—now it runs smoother. Had to adjust the RAM timings manually.

Whats your PSU wattage? You could watch your resources with either task manager or something else for when it happens and see if its related to something peeking. Or its maybe possible it has to do with cooling and dust build up. Like if the GPU or CPU gets too hot under load and crashes, maybe the fans aren't working?

There might still be issues with the RAM. My Ballistix wasn’t listed in the QVL and actually malfunctioned during a test environment roughly two weeks after my motherboard was returned for replacement. Both the test board’s motherboard (Asus Tuf B550-PLUS) and the ASRock model (B450M-HDV) also failed.

Reset your CMOS and relocate your RAM to slots A2 and B2 – this might resolve the strange issue with your Ryzen CPU.

I updated and modified my post with your EVGA G3 1000w. It doesn’t seem like a power problem since I’ve used this configuration for more than a year. After a deep clean of my PC last month and again today, it still crashes.

Check the CMOS settings on the board or use a jumper to reset it.

Sure thing, just confirming. That should work fine. Regarding the CMOS issue, I don’t notice it in the images, but you might need to check for a nearby jumper pin or simply take it out. Make sure to disconnect the power source and keep the power button pressed for about ten seconds to discharge the capacitors. Then remove the CMOS battery and let it sit for a few minutes. After that, reinsert the battery and attempt the test again. For troubleshooting the RAM, take out the other stick regardless of its position and see if the system crashes. If it doesn’t, try the other one. You can also rotate the sticks across different areas to check if the problem lies with the motherboard.
