My computer becomes unresponsive, then displays a black screen while a YouTube audio clip continues playing beyond a minute, after which it too begins to malfunction and goes silent. Despite this, the system remains active with fans spinning and the CPU light on. (This was the second incident) To give you context, the PC started failing after I cleaned and disassembled it; several mishaps occurred—like inserting an HDMI cable into the motherboard and experiencing two power outages, a reset after a BSOD that couldn't boot, another reset where Windows login appeared but the screen remained pixelated, and finally a reset that worked normally).

Background details: The crashes began after I cleaned the PC and removed all parts. Issues included plugging HDMI into the motherboard and two power loss events. After each reset, I encountered BSODs, a flashing red light above the case, and the drive indicated it was reading an HDD. Everything seemed normal until the first crash, which closely resembled the second but with a simultaneous audio glitch. These incidents occurred over five days.

Here’s what happened before the second failure:
- Browsing the internet, watching a few YouTube and Twitch videos.
- Running a background game.
- Using a folder explorer.
- Playing VLC media player.

The first crash involved similar usage but used Photoshop instead of a game.

Actions taken:
- Cleaned the PC thoroughly.
- Replaced the RAM.
- Rebuilt the CPU.
- Executed Crystal Disk, SFC, CHKDSK, and DISM utilities (no errors found).
- Reviewed Windows Event Viewer (only logged power loss from a forced shutdown).
- Checked temperatures (peak around 70°C/158°F).

Specific details of my hardware:
- AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Pinnacle Ridge.
- AMD Radeon RX580.
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 at 2666MHz.
- MSI B450 Gaming Plus.
- Corsair CV750 750W 80 Plus.
- Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB.
- Seagate Barracuda 1TB.
- Kagami K-5 ATX case.
- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.
- Latest MSI BIOS (updated regularly for B450 Gaming Plus).

What's your temperature? Have you attempted to reset the CMOS?

The most common temperatures reach up to 70°C/158°F. BIOS configurations remain standard, with only the password setting differing.

Everything looks fine. A possible solution is to reinstall Windows, though it could cause issues with large amounts of data.

Consider alternative solutions before restarting Windows. The system starts normally initially, but crashes intermittently later, suggesting a possible underlying issue. Think about other troubleshooting steps.

Do you have any unused components such as RAM or GPU available, or would someone else be able to provide theirs temporarily for testing or diagnosis?

Sorry, I don't have the full picture. I only have my backup power supply.

It wouldn't hurt to try it out if you have some extra time.

I’ll also rebuild the PC to look for dust, bent pins, or loose connections. I’ll share the outcome soon. Appreciate your reply!
