I recently assembled this machine. Occasionally, the PC becomes unresponsive. When that occurs, the display goes dark and a fan (possibly CPU-related) operates very loudly. Any audio from YouTube or games continues to play. Notably, when watching videos on YouTube for an extended period, data fetching still happens, indicating the network remains functional. The game's sound effects or music persist even during intense gameplay. I attempted to check responsiveness by firing a gun in-game, but no gun sound was heard. This seems more frequent in Cyberpunk 2077 than in other titles, especially when I play longer sessions. It might happen even when I’m not doing heavy tasks. The event viewer displays: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." That’s not very informative. It appears Windows doesn’t generate a dump until the PC restarts on its own. It usually takes about 30 seconds from the screen going black to the PC resetting by itself. I’ve tried several fixes: removed the Nvidia application (which shows many errors in the event viewer), used ddu to uninstall and reinstall the video card driver, reset BIOS settings, checked CPU and GPU temperatures (normal readings), unplugged my second SSD to reset the card driver, and verified the BIOS. The CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D at 4.2 GHz, with an 8-core processor. The graphics card is a PNY VERTO OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, 16 GB VRAM. Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2 ATX AM5. Power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2 1300 W (from an older system). Other details: OS version is Windows 10 x64, installed from Microsoft. System age: 4 months; CPU model: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz; Processor: 8-core; Video card: 16 GB VRAM; Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2 ATX AM5; Power: 1300W; BIOS: latest version.

Turn off the MultiPlane Overlay MPO setting. Install the newest AMD chipset drivers from AMD's site. Turn off hybrid sleep and fast startup features. Look for any SSD-s firmware updates. Execute sfc /scannow to verify Windows integrity. Use Hard Disk Sentinel to inspect your disks. Test RAM with PassMark memtest86 or Memtest86+.

It's likely a memory issue, but I need to know the exact type of RAM you have to identify it properly.

Check if the AMD chipset drivers are set up correctly. They're required for 3D graphics cards.

I set up the AMD chipset driver through Gigabyte control center. I plan to obtain the driver directly from AMD. I already updated the firmware using Samsung Magician. I purchased the SSD expecting it to utilize system RAM for caching and likely require Samsung Magician for proper operation. I remember attempting a memory test possibly via BIOS tools. I intend to explore MultiPlane Overlay MPO, hybrid sleep/fast startup options, and Hard Disk Sentinel. I’m not sure about these yet. The RAM is G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (two 16 GB modules) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory, located in the second and fourth RAM slots next to the CPU.
