If the BD PROCHOT indicator appears red, clear that section on the main ThrottleStop interface to see if the issue resolves. 07-19-2023, 11:37 PM #8I managed to adjust the 0.80ghz setting but it’s stuck at 3.60ghz and won’t change up or down. Overclocking causes crashes. I’m planning to replace the CPU cooler and possibly the power supply right away, since what I see points to a power issue. The Hyper Evo 212 is stripped, making installation really tough—even a small adjustment means having to re-assemble everything. That’s quite frustrating.
If your CPU is limiting performance, try a basic benchmark such as TS Bench. Capture a screenshot of ThrottleStop with the Limit Reasons window active while your CPU is running. Red highlights show throttling occurring. If your heatsink is missing, that’s likely the main issue—ensure solid contact between the CPU and heatsink to avoid further problems.
