Hey there, I’ve been facing some challenges over the last three months. My friend and I have been working on figuring things out, but we’re running low on ideas. Before this period, I could completely power off my PC, and when I did, it would either crash or restart several times before coming back online. I’d only shut it down when a Windows update was required, otherwise I kept it in sleep mode. Now, after three months, turning it on usually causes it to shut down within 5 to 10 minutes. In BIOS, the CPU temperature stays between 70°C and 80°C. I sent my CPU in for replacement (see specs below), and AMD confirmed there was a problem. After getting it back, I re-applied the thermal paste carefully, tightened everything, and checked the AIO cables. Once I opened Windows, I encountered a BSOD with DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, which has been recurring since April. I had to manually restart the PC, and after logging back in, it would power off again within 5 to 10 minutes. This machine was built in November, experienced occasional power-offs from November to February, then April onward with more frequent blue screens and shutdowns. The CPU is a Ryzen 7 7800X3D with an AMD IDOL around 70°C-80°C. I’ve replaced the thermal paste, secured the fans, and installed the GPU, RAM, storage, and BIOS version 2007.
Visit C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any minidump files exist. If present, return to the Windows directory and transfer the entire Minidump folder to the Downloads folder (use your desktop if needed). Compress the copied folder and include it in a post. Please adhere strictly to instructions since Windows doesn't allow file manipulation there.
