Initially, the setup details were unclear. The system runs a 5900X with a 65W limit on an X570 Aorus Master 4x16GB RAM configuration (currently 2x16GB due to mixed components). G.Skill Ripjaws V 3600 CL19 is set to 2133 JEDEC I. I’m unsure of the exact model, but it might be a Quadro P600 for video encoding or an LSI HBA. The hardware includes 8x10TB Seagate drives in RAID-Z2 with 3x500GB Samsung SSDs (pre-2020 models). A Retired Supermicro 2U chassis powers the setup, running Proxmox and virtualized TrueNAS for NAS tasks. Some components feel outdated but have worked reliably for over a year. I pulled this configuration to verify if it was the problem, but it wasn’t—issues returned after a short period.

The core issue involved random shutdowns every few days, lasting up to a couple of minutes before restarting. Initially, I suspected memory problems, but TestMem86+ showed no errors. Removing non-essential devices didn’t help. I considered OS corruption and reinstalled Proxmox, but the system froze during zpool import and failed to boot into the live environment.

My next steps:
- Check SSD health one by one, especially since they’re old and prone to quirks.
- Verify if the CPU cooler or PSU is affecting stability.
- Consider swapping components gradually while monitoring behavior.
