Hello everyone, I'm facing an unusual problem with my new computer. Everything appears normal until I install the graphics card driver. After that, random crashes occur without any stress or heavy usage—sometimes it works just fine while browsing or watching videos, but then it freezes during internet use or YouTube playback. The crash looks like the screen turns black instantly, followed by audio stopping. After the crash, no key combinations function, and I have to turn it off and on manually. There are no BSOD messages, and no crash dump is created. In the Event Viewer, I see two different error types for each crash, but no dump file. Photos of the errors are attached. Even though the system doesn’t crash under load, stress tests and benchmarks sometimes trigger crashes when it’s idle. I've tried various NVIDIA driver versions, performed clean installs of Windows 10 and 11, and installed different software beforehand. Still, after a fresh Windows install, the graphics driver causes random failures. I’ve also installed the driver right after a new Windows setup, but it crashes immediately. I’m from Mexico and usually can’t afford high-end hardware, often relying on what’s available locally—sometimes from 5 to 7 different sellers. Here are my specs for clarity: Processor: Intel Core i9-13900K Motherboard: ASRock Z690 Graphics Card: ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4090 Trinity OC Memory: Kingston Beast Fury Black DDR5 5600MHz 32GB Storage: 1TB XPG GAMMIX S11 Pro Power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 P+ 80 PLUS Platinum If you need more details, feel free to ask—I’m open to help.

-Have you attempted to improve stability with another PCIe port? -Would you like to refresh the firmware without installing drivers? -Can you test stability by inserting the card into another system? -Did you ensure all power connectors are properly attached to the GPU? Also, DDU should function adequately; it seems unnecessary to perform repeated installations.

I haven't experimented with another PCIe slot yet; I'll try today and let you know. The firmware on my card is current, I've already tested that. At the moment, it's hard to switch systems easily, so I'm planning to purchase a new motherboard. I have an i5 12th generation processor available for testing, and I'll order it right away to see if the same problems arise. The card includes one plug that splits into four connectors for the PSU, and I've already verified all connections several times—everything is properly connected.
