This version appears to be from 2019, so it likely meets the requirements for the Samsung 970 EVO Plus.

The 970 EVO Plus is an NVMe 1.3 storage solution, released near your BIOS upgrade time, making it suitable for your system. It offers better performance compared to the P3 model.

Updated the bio to reflect support changes for newer CPUs. No manufacturer would remove Zen1 support on A320, AB350, B450, or X470.

It’s going to take some time, but I’ll try. I noticed my NVMe laptop is 1.4 and that doesn’t fully clarify why it worked while the other drive didn’t.

I’d prefer to purchase another drive first, as it makes more sense than jeopardizing my CPU for unsupported status and later needing a $200 replacement. If the Samsung 970 evo fails, I’ll reach out to ASRock to confirm it will work.
