Hey there! I recently changed my PC hardware from a 6th gen i3 with DDR3 to a 12th gen i5 with DDR4. I was thinking about adding a GTX 960 later, but now whenever I run GPU-heavy games or apps, the system crashes unexpectedly and just stays on until I reboot. I've checked all software updates and even reinstalled drivers using DDU, but nothing seems to fix it. Also, I'm planning to upgrade to an RTX 3060 later. Any advice or suggestions would be super useful. Thanks!

Is your processor equipped with built-in graphics? You can test them in games to check if the problem persists. If they don’t work, the GPU may be defective.

It's an i5-12400F processor, meaning it doesn't have built-in graphics.

They should still anticipate the GPU handling demanding tasks such as Cinebench or Prime95 for this stress test. It would also help to perform memory checks to eliminate other causes.

It seems like you're wondering if the GPU might be overheating. Could you provide more details about your system or the symptoms you're noticing?

Normally, only during heavy visual tasks does it fail.

It's strange, isn't it? Thinking it's really old and that failure is just part of the game.
