System failures during demanding applications Game crashes in high-performance scenarios
The PC shuts down during heavy games, but no problems appear in stress tests or online. When it crashes, all peripherals shut off—monitor, mouse, keyboard, microphone—and the game ends. The PC stays on with fans until I restart it, after which it works again until I play any games. Current specs: 3060 Ti CPU, Ryzen 7 5700G, X570, gaming motherboard, Corsair RM750 4TB, Western Blue hard drive, Phantom Cooler case fans, Pro MG case. Things I've tried: reinstall and update drivers via DDU, clean install, reset BIOS, update Windows and other drivers, disable audio drivers, rollback GPU drivers after stress tests. The issue is visible in the video below (IMG_1992.MOV).
I think it’s unlikely this will occur with the Ryzen Graphics on the 5700G. I’d be surprised if your PSU isn’t sufficient for the 3060ti, though I don’t have much experience with the 30-series components. You’ve heard they can experience significant power spikes—sometimes doubling normal draw during short loads—but a 750W PSU should handle it easily. The issues you’re seeing might be similar to what others face. Consider upgrading to a higher wattage supply and see if it resolves the problem. If not, you could borrow one to test affordably.
