I just finished a fresh build a few weeks back, and everything functioned perfectly for the past 2-3 weeks until my original configuration was used: Silverstone GD-09 case, Intel Core i5 13600K, Asus ROG Strix Z790-H, Mobo Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR5 6000MT, 1 TB WD black, SN850x, and an Nvme M2 with MSI Venuts 3X RTX4070 OC. The setup ran smoothly for hours without any problems. I previously played COD MW2 and it performed exceptionally well.
Later, I upgraded the GPU to a 4070ti from MSI Ventus 3X, but it failed quickly due to loud fan noise and a crash after just 30 minutes of use. I tried troubleshooting—replacing the fan, cleaning CMOS, reinstalling Windows, clearing drivers—but nothing resolved the issue. The 12V power cable was stiff, making it hard to reattach the case cover. Eventually, I decided to replace both the case and GPU.
Now I’ve transferred all components to a new case and installed the replacement GPU: an Asus Tuf Gaming RTX4070ti OC. It’s significantly better than the MSI model and offers dual HDMI outputs. Despite this, I still experience random crashes. I checked RAM connections, re-seated the GPU, cleared CMOS, and even performed a fresh Windows install, but the problem persists.
I attempted to switch to a PCIE 6+2 Y-splitter with the GPU, but it didn’t fix the instability. The system freezes intermittently, sometimes showing a blue screen or restarting after crashes. I’ve tried downloading COD multiple times during gameplay, which also fails repeatedly.
Other than overheating warnings and occasional screen freezes, no major issues have arisen. I’m still searching for a solution. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Located the ROG Strix Z790 gaming model with Wi-Fi support.
Have you attempted to unplug everything and plug it back in? Tested RAM without XMP/EXPO settings? Are you employing a CPU contact frame?
I carefully checked everything before the case swap, but the main concern was that some RAM sticks weren’t fully seated. That issue has been resolved, though the problem remains. I also tested XMP both enabled and disabled. Regarding your CPU cooler, it has a very large bracket—let me know if you need help adjusting it.
It seems NVME isn't listed in the BIOS but still boots from it, which is puzzling. It looks like it's always been installed in slot 1 since the original setup. You're considering replacing it with a new Samsung 990 Pro to resolve this, but you're still unsure about the problem.
Consider using Passmark Memtest86 to verify your RAM performance.
I just set up the new NvME Samsung 990PRO and it was quite a learning experience by itself. Once Windows was reinstalled with the new SSD and drivers updated, it started crashing several times. Following your suggestion, I ran MemTest86 on the Asus mono BIOS, which led to the system rebooting and freezing for about five seconds before restarting again. I’m beginning to suspect a memory issue.
