System failure? No longer starting up.
Hi,
Motherboard:
Upgraded to e5-2695 CPU, ran smoothly for a week. After a week away, machine stopped booting with Q-code 69 'NB init'. Adjusting RAM to only 'a+b' and 'e+f' resolved the issue, including Northbridge init. Switching back to e5-2670 changed behavior: 'all-clear'-sound, then 62 'SB run-time init' followed by a halt, with another beep after 30 seconds. I reset everything, swapped RAM sticks, and started only with one CPU and one RAM slot filled—still getting the same error code 62. Is the mainboard still functional? Any suggestions?
From your tests, it seems the MoBo has reached the end of its life.
You should either install a compatible new MoBo or upgrade the entire CPU-MoBo-RAM package to a more recent version.
