Earlier in my home there was a power cut, and once I restarted the system I saw this error in the event viewer: Faulting application name: NvStreamUserAgent.exe, version: 7.1.2071.1338, time stamp: 0x5726e1d3. The module and process details are also listed. The error code is 0xc0000005, the fault offset is 0x000000000002e909, and it happened during a restart after the outage. I’ve read about similar issues online, especially regarding crashes during gaming or hardware problems. In three scenarios, these errors might occur too—once with a power cut, once when the PC restarted due to hardware faults, and another time when unexpected shutdowns triggered them. It seems the NvStreamUserAgent.exe isn’t stable under sudden changes in system state. Thank you for asking this detailed question.

If it's just one occurrence after an external issue (such as a power cut), it's easy to overlook it. The most probable cause of the error is either the operating system attempting to explain what went wrong or the service noticing something unusual and flagging it as an issue. Pay attention when the problem repeats or functionality starts to fail.

They mention three links discussing computer crashes during gaming. The issues seem linked to unexpected shutdowns possibly due to an unstable PC. Your power outage might be a factor, but it could also relate to other causes.

It connects to Nvidia Shadow Play found in GeForce Experience. Remove and reinstall GeForce Experience or delete it completely if you're not using it.

They mentioned issues in three links: a ParadoxPlaza forum thread, a TechSpot article, and a BleepingComputer post. The PC experienced crashes, and the event log showed an error for nvstreamuseragent.exe. This issue appeared only after unexpected shutdowns.
