Hey everyone, I've got a PC issue that's been tricky to fix. It's running an i7 10700F with ASUS Tuff Gaming B560M-Plus motherboard, RTX 3060 GPU, Viper 2x 8GB RAM, and the case lights are working. The CPU was flashing red on the motherboard at startup, but I couldn't get into BIOS. After replacing the CPU it still wouldn't boot. Now the fans aren't spinning, but the lights on the motherboard and GPU are still active, and nothing else is powering up. It seems like the power supply unit might be the problem. Any tips or advice?
Place the device outside the case on cardboard or the anti-static bag it came in. Connect the CPU, install one stick of RAM in slot A2, and power it on using a screwdriver to jump the power pins. Check for a POST. You don’t have video output, so expect either a single beep or boot LED. If it boots, proceed adding components gradually. If not, one part is faulty—since you’ve swapped CPU and board, RAM or PSU might be defective.
