I tested the power button on the case or shorted the power pins on the motherboard, but nothing occurred (debug lights stayed off). What I attempted: 1. Verified the PSU with a multimeter – it worked fine. 2. Tried booting with just one RAM stick. 3. Cleared the RTC RAM. The components listed are: ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI Corsair DDR5 VENGEANCE 2x16 GB (CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30), Corsair RM850x PSU, AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, Lexar NM790 2TB M.2 SSD, Corsair H150 RGB AIO cooler with fractal design.

I think the CPU power cable seems unusual. Most are split into two 4-pin sections, but yours appears to have an 8-pin connector. If it mentions "CPU" on it, that’s likely the correct one. Occasionally, people forget to power on the PSU switch. Also inspect the pins under the CPU socket—some might be bent and causing short circuits. The motherboard could be dead if you bought it used, or there might be an issue with the CPU itself. Try running without the CPU first to verify the pins.

Ensure the CMOS isn’t active yet. Remove the coin cell battery and let it rest for a few minutes. A replacement is optional but advised. Verify you’re receiving power from the wall and that the PSU is turned on.

We need more details to determine the cause. Is this a newly assembled device or one that had problems later? Were any components replaced before the issue occurred? Was the system purchased as a ready-made unit? Does it still qualify for support coverage?
