Inspect the power switch connector, it could be worn out or not fully seated. Or the pins may be bent. It should be located at the bottom edge of your motherboard, beneath the graphics card. If this doesn't function properly, consider reinserting the motherboard power plug and possibly the CPU for extra assurance. Lastly, the button might be faulty, but it produces a strong click, so it's likely not the issue.
