I have just installed a new PC, but it won’t power on. No beep, no display appears.
The memory failure light is illuminated (!?)
System: Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming Wifi
Ryzen 7 5700x
RAM: FuryX DDR4 2x8 GB (HX426C16FB3K2/16)
GPU: RX 590 Fatboy
HD: Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 SSD 2TB
PSU: Chieftec BFD-1000C Proton Series
...but the RAM should work. I’ve tried both chips in a single slot as well. The memory was functioning in another PC.
The CPU fan is spinning, and there’s light coming from the graphics card and motherboard.
I updated the BIOS using Bios Flash Back before installing the CPU and RAM. The installation process went smoothly.
Initially, I used some RAM not listed in the support section:
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600 32GB (v 4.33)
Then I tried a set of supported Fury X (HX426C16FB3K2/16) ...but still no startup.
Any advice for fixing this?

Bad PSU? It seems to supply power to the system without any smoke.
😏

Well, now it's operating, but it looks like there might be a memory slot problem or something causing it to fail. The PSU isn't my first concern. I replaced one RAM stick at a time into different slots. Finally, the RAM started working in the last slot I tried (A2, the fourth from the CPU). Both sticks functioned in that slot, including the one I first installed (Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600 16GB), though it only ran at 2666MHz. The system boots into setup... but only with a single stick, not in a configuration for just one stick. Really frustrating...

I removed and cleaned the CPU on the pin side, hoping it would fix the memory port issue. There was a thin layer of thermal paste at a few spots around the CPU. Now it looks shiny and clean.
...but the problem wasn’t resolved – it still only works with one memory stick.
🙁
Do you know what I’m missing? Except for half of my memory, since I’m using just one stick instead of two in pairs? The stick is even in the wrong slot, third from the CPU. It should be in the second one. But it still runs...
16GB, running at 3600MHz

It's using two sticks, 32GB/3600MHz, but still in the wrong slots...3 and 4 from the CPU (A1/A2). It managed for a short time in B1/A1, which could be a better option, but it's no longer viable.
No setup with a stick in B2 works.
It would be interesting to try using all four slots to observe what happens...
