System fails to update after CPU upgrade

I bought a new CPU (Rysen 5600x with 6 cores) since my old one (Ryzen 3 2200G) was limiting my GPU performance. My motherboard Msi B450 Pro-VDH confirms compatibility as long as the BIOS is updated—they are. I’ve reset the BIOS and removed the battery, then reinserted the old CPU, which now works fine. Can someone assist me without needing a new motherboard?

7A38vMD and I tested my previous CPU, and it’s working fine. The MSI site also confirms this chip is compatible.

The MSI page specifies a minimum requirement of 7A38vM G for Ryzen 5000 CPUs. The BIOS version you’re looking for isn’t easily accessible, so the provided download link is the best option: https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7A38vMG.zip
