System fails to start intermittently.
Hi, I recently installed a Ryzen 5 5600 on an MSI B550 gaming plus motherboard with my old Seasonic focus 850W power supply. Everything functioned properly after the build, but the next day when trying to power on the PC, nothing happened. Initially, I suspected a faulty PSU, tried connecting the cable to the motherboard and checked fans and CPU diagnostics—LEDs lit without video. After removing the cooler, I used my older Ryzen 5 1600 (though unsure if it works) and got video back. Once I switched back to the 5600, the PC started working normally. I performed a few restarts and applied MSI OC for CPU and XMP settings. After turning it off for about 4-5 hours, it wouldn’t power on except for the BIOS flash LED. The CPU temperature during an AIDA86 stress test was around 66°C. I also reset the CMOS and tested other components: the GPU (RX 6700 XT), two x16 M.2 SSDs (3000MHz), and more details to come. Edit: An hour later, the PC turned on. Is this indicating a new PSU?
