Normally a beep occurs before the ASUS splash screen appears, yet no sound is made and the monitor fails to detect input. After updating the BIOS, the problem persists. There are various versions of TPM available on the same connector, yet they cannot communicate with each other.

I've faced the same issue when setting up an Asus TPM on an MSI board. When the system powers on, does the TPM feel warm? I suspect a Z77 board likely won't be compatible with a TPM 2.0 anyway. From what I know, TPM 2.0 emerged after the shift from BIOS to UEFI, and Z77 aligns well during that transition. You probably need a 1.2 version to get it working.
