Hello, your ASUS H310-Prime MOBO is working fine before the BIOS update from version 0803 to 2416. After installing two 8GB RAM sticks, the system boots normally but fails when both are installed together. No stick is damaged, and you've tried various configurations—placing each stick in different slots, even mixing them—but the PC still doesn't boot. The speaker doesn’t emit a POST beep either. You’ve checked online solutions and adjusted voltage to 1.4 without success. It seems there might be an issue with the motherboard or RAM compatibility. You may want to test with a different motherboard or consult ASUS support for further assistance.

I've already attempted the changes. Initially I changed from 0803 to 3020, then lowered it to 2416, but it wouldn't allow further reduction. During the downgrade from 2416 to 2402 it reported an incorrect BIOS file.

I would attempt to reset the CMOS first, after that try starting with both boot devices.

I also replaced the CMOS battery a few days ago since my BIOS kept resetting its settings on every restart. The CMOS should have been reset already, right?

It varies based on removal duration and whether the PC was off when done. Recommended: use jumper pins to refresh CMOS.

I'll test it out tomorrow and report back on the outcomes.

Hello once more, I tried resetting the CMOS using jumper pins and the BIOS loaded back to default, but it didn’t fix the problem. I also replaced the thermal paste, and the PC started with two sticks, but it only booted once before looping again after the first restart. I’m not sure what’s causing the issue—other than the CPU cooler possibly making a change, that’s all I know.

You might have secured your CPU cooler firmly in place.

I understand your concern. Some users mentioned similar issues. The main point is... I don’t have any screws connecting the cooler to the motherboard, only mounting pins. That means I can’t really loosen it further. The only option left is to remove the fan from the radiator, which seems to be the solution. Please confirm if this matches your situation.
