I recently got my new computer a week ago, a brand-new i9-14900k with RTX 4090. At first, it didn<|pad|> to show the splash screen—it always displayed a black screen with static for a few seconds. Now my PC won’t boot at all, just the black screen and static. I’ve tried several fixes: resetting CMOS with a button on the motherboard, removing the battery, switching power cables and outlets, disconnecting all cables except the monitor cable, using HDMI instead of DisplayPort, testing with just one monitor, removing the power cord and pressing a button for 30 seconds, waiting 10 minutes, and even waiting an hour without success.

Curious about the debug LED or codes on your motherboard? If everything looks fine, remove a piece of RAM and test booting. Also, try using a live Linux USB to check if the problem lies with your PC or operating system.

The screen displays a single green indicator and the word "Boot" appears next to it, with no additional lights visible.

Attempted removing RAM sticks individually, using just one at a time. Problem persists.

It should have been, I haven’t touched the computer since I got it. It worked perfectly for a week straight. M.2 Drive

Have you set up any programs or items that might have affected your Windows? You might also consider disconnecting the storage device for a short time.

No software installed other than steam and HWmonitor. If i remove the drive it wont boot at all. The problem started when i got the PC, instead of the splash screen i just get the static screen and suddenly it is in windows. Tried booting in bios but the same static screen happened. Could be that it is in recovery mode or something but i cant see it? If i remove the drive it wont have anything to boot into tho? Cant get into repair mode or anything

Consider deleting the USB stick and starting from there. This helps determine if the issue lies with the drive itself.

No USB available but I have a drive on another computer, I'll attempt that when I get home.
