Hi, I recently purchased a new Ryzen 7 5700x to upgrade my A320M-K motherboard. Previously, I ran the Ryzen 5 3400g without any issues. After installing the new CPU, the PC wouldn’t power on, leading me to think it was a BIOS update problem. I tried reinstalling the 3400g to fix the BIOS but still couldn’t get it to boot. I rebuilt the system from scratch because of a past GPU issue and it still doesn’t start. Have anyone experienced similar problems?

The graphics card is the one you're referring to. The display cables are connected to it, not the motherboard.

Replace the CPU once more, reset the CMOS, and attempt to start it again. Are you also using a separate GPU? Since the 5700X lacks built-in graphics, you'll need one if you don't.

Both processors are functioning well and have straight pins.

My system has an RTX 3070, and the display cables are connected to the GPU, yet the computer fails to boot. This suggests the issue isn’t related to the screen itself.

There's a way to clear CMOS without booting? It doesn't show me even the BIOS. And yes, I have an RTX 3070.

Ensure your PC is powered off and disconnected from the electrical outlet. Take out the CMOS battery from the motherboard. Run through a few power button presses to discharge any remaining energy, then allow it to rest for a short period. This usually clears the CMOS settings. Some models include a dedicated reset button, though this is more typical on recent premium systems.

Everyone usually has a visible CMOS (clear RTC) connector as well.

I just tested it but it won’t start. I’m planning to bring it to a repair person tomorrow because I’m not sure how to fix it.
