System fails to show display during Windows startup.
I built a new system with the CPU and GPU from my old PC. It includes a Ryzen 7 5800X, an RTX 3070, and a ROG B550-I motherboard. The machine boots normally and I can access the BIOS. From there, I install Windows from a flash drive and move it to the SSD. Everything functions until about three minutes into Windows after installation. Then the display goes dark. Restarting the PC restores power but the screen signal disappears before Windows loads. In the BIOS I can stay active without losing the signal, suggesting the issue isn’t with the GPU. I’ve replaced both SSDs and tested different cables—HDMI and DP—and they all work. This is my third build, actually my second real one, and I’m unsure what might be causing this problem.
Try repeatedly forcing the Windows boot process until it enters recovery or safe mode. Check if you reach that state.
