System fails to power on via BIOS following fan replacement.
I installed a new fan on my MB, but it won’t boot. Switching to the old one didn’t fix anything—no BIOS detected, only the CPU fan started. The GPU fans still won’t turn on. I removed the old fan carefully; the CPU came out without much force. There’s no visible damage to the CPU (Ryzen 5 5600GT). My motherboard is out of the case now. I’ve tested various RAM, cleared CMOS, reset power connections, swapped video outputs, and even tried booting with basic components. My concern is that either the motherboard or CPU might be faulty. Thanks!
This refers to fans that cool components like the case, CPU cooler, or chipset.
I checked the CPU again, and some pins needed adjusting. Now it works! Appreciate your response.
