System fails to power on following BIOS upgrade.
I changed the BIOS settings on my Prime B350 plus mainboard to support a 3600 processor. I used the BIOS Renamer website to edit the bios and saved it to a USB drive. After flashing, the PC stopped booting without any video output, neither with the 3600 nor my 1600X. I tested various GPUs, used only one RAM stick, and reset the CMOS with a battery. I’m at my limit for solutions—anyone have suggestions? Thanks! Also, the BIOS doesn’t show a debug LED.
Disconnect the PC from power, then take out the CR2032 battery for a short time. Restart it and see if it works. If not, reinstall the 1600X and prepare a USB flash drive for ASUS's CrashFree BIOS. It’s uncertain if this will boot from scratch with a faulty BIOS, but worth trying.
You risk losing valuable time if you don’t act. Consider replacing your RAM and GPU as well. It wouldn’t hurt to try.
You followed the instructions but haven't received any updates. You've tested various GPUs, tried reseating RAM, and explored other solutions.
