System fails on both NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards (Xid 13 / pageflip delay)
Hello, I've been facing recurring system crashes since 2023, with the issue mostly appearing during gaming sessions. It seems to happen more often after a few rounds in games like Helldivers 2, though it can also occur during lighter tasks such as playing YT and chatting on Discord. The crashes tend to be frequent—up to ten times a day. My setup is primarily based on Fedora 42 and CachyOS; Windows 11 only produced confusing error messages without useful logs.
The system often freezes, and a full power cycle usually resolves it, though audio output sometimes remains while input stops. Occasionally, I managed to access an extra TTY and retrieved some logs (refer to attached images). Most times the screen goes black or freezes with fans slowing down, yet the system stays in an unusual power state.
Despite running tests like memtest86, OCCT, stress-ng, everything works smoothly without errors in dmesg or journalctl. I've tried various hardware and BIOS configurations: different motherboards (Asus TUF B650-Plus, Gigabyte B650 Eagle), multiple GPUs (AMD 7900XT, GTX 1070, Corsair RM850x), different operating systems (Fedora 42 KDE, CachyOS, Windows 11), and even swapped out the GPU to a secondary PCIe slot.
I've also experimented with BIOS settings—changing EXPO options, memory speeds, PBO status, and other optimizations—but nothing seems to prevent the crashes. Some tests showed no issues, so it's unclear what triggers them.
I'm considering replacing the RAM despite checks confirming it's fine. Have others experienced similar problems on AM5 systems, especially with GPU timeouts in both NVIDIA and AMD games? Could voltage or configuration quirks be involved? Any stable BIOS or memory settings that helped in past situations would be greatly appreciated.
Open concerns exist regarding drivers linked to the "amdgpu pageflip timeout" issue that emerged three months ago. See relevant discussions:
- Manjaro Forum thread: [System Freeze - Amdgpu Flip Timeout](https://forum.manjaro.org/t/system-freez...2/176608/2)

Thanks for the feedback. You're right, I already discovered those links before. The latest responses from the past month suggest KWIN_DRM_NO_AMS=1 works well—stable enough to avoid crashes during my testing.
